The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, September 10 reveals Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will send out notices, canceling the Abbott Communications launch party.
Also coming up, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will argue about Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Plus, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will face off with Holden Novak (Nathan Owens). And Billy, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will get an offer they’ll find hard to refuse.
Viewers should note, there’ll be no follow up on the Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) cliffhanger from Tuesday’s Y&R, when Mariah confessed to her wife that she tried to kill someone.
Instead, writers will waste at least a minute or two of Kyle standing in Crimson Lights, flashing back to memories of his conversation with Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) from just moments before. But Holden will break him out of his reverie when he walks into the coffee shop.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Kyle Tells Holden To Stay Away From Claire
Kyle will ask spot him and if he got drunk with Claire last night. “Putting the moves on her,” he’ll add. “You stay the hell away from her, you understand me?” Holden will ask if he feels the need to spy on his girlfriend. “I don’t take kindly to threats Kyle.” He’ll also comment that who can blame Claire for needing an escape.
“I was there for Claire when Cole got sick and I was there after he died, while you were stuck in Nice.” But he’ll also add that he told Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) to back off him and Claire. Kyle will tell him he’s the one who needs to back off, just as Claire walks in.
“Holden’s been a good friend to me when I needed him, why would that be an issue for you?” she’ll ask Kyle. “You don’t get to choose who I spend my time with.” Holden will choose that moment to make his escape.
Meanwhile, Jack will leave a message for Billy about the message he received regarding the launch party being cancelled. Then he and Diane will spend the next couple of scenes arguing about Billy’s motives. Kyle will eventually arrive home and whine about Claire walking in on his argument with Holden and taking Holden’s side.
As for Claire, she’ll follow Holden to the lookout and apologize for Kyle’s behavior. Then she’ll ask him to open up about what really happened in LA with Audra. But first, talk about her own past and say she doubts anything he and Audra did holds a candle to that.
Claire will add that therapy, and her family’s love and forgiveness, saved her. Holden will say she deserves it, she’s a good person. “I like the way you think, in fact, I like everything about you,” he’ll continue. “I can’t pretend that’s not the case anymore.”
At Society, Billy and Sally will walk in, expecting to see the launch party underway. But the place will be empty. Cane will appear and tell Sally she looks great. “I don’t remember inviting you,” she’ll reply. Billy will ask how he got in and Cane will say he’s the only guest.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Victor Will Soon Be Able To Destroy It
“The party’s been called off, hopefully along with Abbott Communications.” He’ll add that he sent out a cancellation and that they don’t want to launch a company in direct competition with Newman Media right now.
“We are not afraid of them,” Sally will reply. But Cane will tell her Victor will soon have the power to destroy their company, he can take control of their finances. Billy will ask how that’s possible.
“I’ll tell you how it’s possible, because Cane has sold us all out,” Phyllis will say, walking in. Then she’ll accuse him of having an AI program that can take over any company’s system. Cane will say he does but he needs their help against Victor.
Cane will tell them Victor’s blackmailing him about how his father got his hands on his fortune. So, if The Mustache succeeds and gets his hands on the AI program, he’ll unleash it on his enemies. He’ll suggest Jabot would be first, then Abbott Communications.
Sally will ask Cane why he’d create something like this. “Because it’s amazing,” Billy will say. “If we go along with you, what do you want in return?” Sally will ask Cane. “I am going to trust the three of you, and your hatred of Victor, to do what needs to be done,” he’ll reply.
Finally, Cane will tell the trio he needs to keep his hands clean. So, he’s willing to give Billy the AI program and let the three of them take down Victor themselves. But will Billy, Sally and Phyllis go for it?
